The Caring for Kids Program is a unique model of home care for medically fragile children and their families. Under the direction of the child’s physician, the experienced, highly skilled Caring for Kids team provides outstanding pediatric care and emotional, social and spiritual support for the whole family. The collaborative team approach focuses on providing high-quality complex care that enables the family to be together in the comfort of their own home. CFK services include medication education and support, IV and chemotherapy, pediatric rehabilitation, sibling and family support, social work services, home health aide services, palliative comfort and bereavement support. The Caring for Kids Team is available seven days a week, 24 hours a day.
Working closely with the medical community to implement the best plan of care for optimal results, Caring for Kids caregivers are trained to provide advanced technological procedures such as chemotherapy, infusion therapy, laboratory testing and pain management care in the child’s home.
